cinnamon french toast

I’ve never made French toast before this, but I had this lovely baguette from Acme Bakery in Berkeley and a husband who suggested I make French toast with it. So I looked up a couple of recipes and developed this one which gave me finger licking maple syrup soaked French toast.



  • 10 baguette slices
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon powder
  • Mixed berries
  • All the maple syrup in the world


  1. Whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl, except the bread, berries and syrup.
  2. Heat up some butter in a skillet on medium heat, dip a few slices of bread at a time into the mixture and let it soak up the mixture for about 10-15 seconds. Cook for 2-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Garnish with berries and lots of maple syrup!
